The concept of Valour began when we wanted to inspire and support our people to Dare to Dream – Big!
Valour is about identifying role models, developing mental wellness, physical wellness, academic pathways, character and work ethic.
The English dictionary definition of valour is “Great courage in the face of danger”.
This doesn’t just mean physical danger, it also reflects the importance of standing up to do the right thing when you know it may have an unpopular outcome, or standing with integrity in the face of adversity.
There is no perfect person in this world. We are forever developing, falling forward to rise in resilience and building our character, our valour or mana as it is known in te reo Māori.
This is the platform for our kaupapa: developing men of valour, women of valour, communities of valour.
Valour is a concept and brand that is entrenched in Te Aratika Group.
Valour products are designed to unite people as part of our kaupapa. They are sold to provide financial opportunities that will support the development of education, training, community-driven initiatives, hauora (health) and answer their “why”.
We have been blessed to be able to fundraise through Valour to take groups overseas as part of cultural exchange and connect with their ancestors who have passed away in WW1 (Pioneer Battalion) and WW2 (28th Māori Battalion) – Our Men of Valour.
