Te Aratika Businesses

Nearly 25 years ago the journey to provide a positive platform for change began through Te Aratika Infrastructure (formerly known as Te Aratika Drilling). A grassroots beginning paved the way for Te Aratika Group to grow organically across industry sectors, and we now have offices in six regions across New Zealand.

Each enterprise has a specific role to play in helping to deliver on our kaupapa.

Te Aratika Industry Training

Te Aratika Industry Training Ltd (TAIT) was established as a pathway for young people transitioning from school or unemployment into a successful career.

Our kaupapa (mission) is to equip our people with essential life skills, vocational training, and specialised technical knowledge to thrive in the workplace.

TAIT has been successfully delivering “Transition to Work” programmes, providing participants with invaluable life skills, training, NZQA endorsed qualifications and technical expertise that meets employer requirements and industry demands.

Te Aratika Creative is a pathway for our people to be educated, inspired, mentored and connected by those leading in their visual,
performing and/or creative arts fields.

We have a strong focus on core values including honesty, integrity, respect and work ethic.

Te Aratika Creative

Te Aratika Infrastructure Ltd (formerly Te Aratika Drilling) was founded as a family business in Auckland in 1998. Over the years, we have expanded our presence to include Te Tai Tokerau (Northland), Taupō nui a tia, Te Matau a Mauī (Hawke’s Bay), Te Tai Rawhiti (East Coast), Taranaki, and Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington Region).

Te Aratika Infrastructure (TAI) is a civil construction business specialising in underground utility services. With the longstanding partnership of industry clients, principals, government organisations and initiatives, we successfully lead recruitment and pre-employment programmes, empowering Māori and Pasifika communities.

Founded in Hawkes Bay in 2016 and opened in 2017 as a Partnership School, Te Aratika Academy transitioned to State School with a designated special character in 2019, following a new Government strategy.

We offer a unique education model for Māori and Pasifika youth in Years 9 -13, focusing on the New Zealand Curriculum, NZQA Qualifications and Vocational Certifications including Infrastructure Works. Our programmes are designed to equip taiohi with the skills, confidence, and cultural connection they need to succeed in their Te Aratika, their Right Path.

Te Aratika Charitable Trust was established with a strong commitment to education and community well-being, with a particular focus on Māori and Pasifika cultures.

Our mission is to support and guide parents, employees, and community members in fostering the well-being of Māori and Pasifika people through education. We strive to raise awareness on cultural identity, spirituality, and political engagement, ensuring these values are integrated into learning experiences.

The trust empowers communities by creating employment, fostering independence and self-sufficiency. We also prioritise public health awareness, encouraging informed decisions for the well-being of individuals and communities.

Through these initiatives, Te Aratika Charitable Trust seeks to build a more educated, empowered, and culturally enriched society.
